Nudo gordiano

Voy a soltar unos datos aleatorios como quien va condimentando su comida con lo que va encontrando en la alacena: R.D. Laing fue psiquiatra, y producto de sus experiencias clínicas fue defraudándose paulatinamente de los métodos psiquiátricos ortodoxos. Llegó a conclusiones y a aplicaciones de sus conclusiones que erizaron los pelos de muchos, al grado que le llamaron antipsiquiatra y a sus métodos antipsiquiatría. Él no estuvo del todo de acuerdo con tales motes pero a la historia no le importó y ahora se le conoce como el padre de la antipsiquiatría. Para él la esquizofrenia no era una enfermedad, sino un estadio mental superior al normal, y lo que menos debía hacerse con un esquizofrénico, era colgarle su etiqueta de esquizofrénico. Había que guiarlo por ese sendero de iluminación que es la enfermedad, y los mejores guías eran los propios esquizofrénicos. Así que había que eliminar toda la metodología hospitalaria que no solo encasillaba al enfermo, sino que potenciaba y prolongaba su enfermedad. Y Laing al mudar la psiquiatría de la clínica tradicional se fue encontrando con cosas amigas en el camino que fue incorporando a su nueva visión, como por ejemplo la psicodelia. Psiquiatría/Psicodelia era el cometido del buen hombre. Tenía gusto por lo literario, y también fue el creador de una especie de poemas y de caligramas (al estilo Apollinaire) que me parecen interesantísimos. Los llamó "Knots", o sea, "Nudos". Son, como su nombre lo indica, nudos de palabras, retruécanos, galimatías pero que vienen a representar lo que en la mente se forma cuando empezamos a crearnos un problema, o una patología; sería como la forma visual de los nudos que nos hacemos en la cabeza y que nos van entorpeciendo, tropezando, coartando, anquilosando. Y sigue y sigue. Gentle Giant hicieron una canción para homenajear a Laing que se titula, obviamente, "Knots". Supieron captar muy oportunamente el espíritu de la idea del nudo. ¿Será que todos nuestros problemas psicológicos son solo embrollos de palabras que nos crean callejones sin salida obsesivos?
